• The Director’s Cut Film Festival is presented bi-annually and individually honors outstanding feature film and documentary directors by screening two of their favorite films. The honoreddirectors are on hand to discuss their films and careers at the lively Q&A session with our RPFS audience. In addition to the director, after the screening of the second film, an actor, writer, producer, director of photography or film critic associated with these films will join us for the Q&A. Presented in the Spring and Fall,The Director’s Cut Film Festival and all RP Film Society events are hosted by Ira Joe Fisher and Morton Dean.
• In June and November 2005, the Film Society honored director’s Barry Levinson and Tim Robbins who screened three award-winning films over a weekend at The Director’s Cut Film Festival. Both Barry Levinson and Tim Robbins to discuss their films and careers for our RPFS audience. Directors honored in 2006 are Bruce Beresford (June) and Ron Howard (November).
